Account control
Delete Your Account and Data
Non-admin accounts can be permanently deleted from the secure Account page.
Delete from the website
- Sign in and open Account.
- Open Data & account, then choose Delete account.
- Enter your account email and confirm the permanent deletion.
The request fails closed if card billing cannot be ended safely. Your account remains available so you can retry instead of losing access while a subscription can still renew.
Admin accounts are protected from self-service deletion. Contact hello@kaspa.news from the admin address for a verified operational deletion request.
Delete from the app
For a non-admin account, open Account in the Kaspa News app, choose Delete account, enter the signed-in email address, and confirm. The app sends the same authenticated, fail-closed deletion request as the website. Public Articles can still be used without creating an account.
A successful deletion signs the app out, immediately blocks that user's local Pro cache, and attempts its local removal. The public article cache, onboarding choice, and last opened article slug are stored separately on your device; clear app storage in device settings or uninstall the app to remove those public/local preferences.
What happens
- Your sign-in account, subscription mapping, and account-linked KAS payment metadata are removed.
- An active Stripe card subscription ends immediately.
- Stripe may retain payment records required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
- Public KAS transactions remain on the Kaspa network and cannot be erased by Kaspa News.
- A separate transaction hash and recording time remain to prevent reuse of the same KAS payment. This record contains no account identifier, email, payment quote, amount, or wallet address.
Account deletion cannot be undone.
